you need to check the ignition switch it sounds as if it may not be making a connection. The key has to be in the run position for the car to run after releasing the key. Hope this helps.

350 ecoline rv, when I went to start it ,it rolled over but didnt fire ,friends said there shoud be a switch by the distributor but I cant find it

Don't know what that switch would be, but sudden no starts are usually fuel or ignition spark related-one of them is not getting to the cylinders. See if you have a strong blue spark on a spark plug wire. If no spark, possibly a bad ignition coil or a bad TFI module on the side of the distributor.
If you have spark, see if pump is putting gas up to the engine.

97 lincoln mark viii oil pressure light always on. oil pressure good. new sender

test the faulty lamp , turn on the ignition switch to the START position The providing circuit shoudl ligh the warning lamp. If hte light does not come ON during the porve/out, disconnect the sender switch lead. Use a jumper wire to connect the sender switch lead to ground . With the ignition in the RUN position, the warning lamp shoud light. If the lamp is iluminated, replace the sending swith. If the light does not come on, either the bubl is buned out or the wiring is damaged.
God bless you

The cooling fan on radiator is not working, where is thermostat switch?

If it is an electric fan there will be a thermostatic switch and it shoud be located on the outlet tank on the radiator. Short out the terminals on the switch with the ignition on and the fans shoud then run if the switch is faulty.

Problem with a 2000 chevy blazer not starting

Have replaced starter, alternator , ignition wiring, neutral safety starter switch, still happens ??????? Do you know how to do automotive electrical testing ? Not guessing an replacing parts . Not starting ??? How ? when you turn the key to start does the starter motor engage an spin the engine ? Or when you turn the key to start nothing happens ? A no crank no start or a cranks no start . Plus you shoud learn how the system works before trying to diagnose .
