Question about 1994 Volkswagen Jetta
I bought a 1994 Jetta and the owner stated that the fuel pump was bad. There is no power to the fuel pump, but when I bridge the relay it works. I have swapped out with new relays and still the same issue. I need some suggestions on things I could test or try to get my car to start. Thanks
Hi have had this problem once on mates jetta with exact symptoms? can you explain please what you do when you bridge the relay and pump ?works does engine then start? or did you not proceed that far? just for info the fault i found was a loose soldered connection on a terminal on rear of fuse/ relay box which gave intermittant fault but fresh connection and new wire cured it? so try checking relay socket/wires? it was an auto sparks mate that gave me the info and said common occurance on jettas back then hope this helps ?
