Thanks it was smelling like a roton egg at one point. But now its just wet with no smell at all. it even looks like water. So you don't think it is clog and not allowing water flow threw? Or it's just a over flow in there

Most of the time when you have a blown heater core they are incased and there radiator fluid wont access the car if it dose then you can by pass the heater core by attaching a piece of hose between the two hoses that go the fire wall and just drive with no heat dose not damage the vehicle and will not harm anything you just might get cold if you in cold temps other then that you should be fine. now you said its on the driver floor if you smelt it it could just be water but if it smells like radiator fluid them it could have leaked under your whole dash and onto the driver flool i would be carefull and play it on the safe side and find someone to take a look at it

SOURCE: Water dripping onto the floor on passenger side below the dash broad

Under the passenger side of the vehicle, near where your feet are, should be a drain tube. This get clogged from time to time by road grime and usually insects, so carefully use a small screwdriver to clean it out. If this clogs, the A/C system cannot remove its own condensation and it backs up into the car.

How to flush a heater core in a pontiac grand prix 2002

If you have warm air on one side and cool on the other, you've a situation with the vent flaps. But to backflush the core, take both hoses off the core and run a garden hose to the outlet side going towards the water pump. This will flush it.

When I give my car the gas or stop I hear a swooshing of water coming from under the dashboard

Uh oh, sounds to me like your heater core is leaking, and I also am willing to bet that if you feel your floor boards, they will be soaked with water. Most are difficult to change, but you need a new heater core installed. Keep an eye on your coolent lvl, you car might start overheating. heare is what one looks like:8007f164-d248-480b-9fe7-6465ba789138.gifand it is located under, behind your dash on passenger side. You may have to revove most of the dash to get to it. If you want to try this job yourself, google : 2001 jeep grand cherokee heater core replacement.

Water on floor passenger side after it rains and after air has been running 2000 grand prix

Ac hose leak?
leaking heater core?

Hint: it leaks when it RAINS

If it were related to the heater core or the AC drain, it would be leaking when it is not raining also, so those diagnoses are not logical.

The grand prix has a long history of floor leaks from seal failures around the air intake under the windshield cowling, where RAIN water runs in.

I have a 97 grand prix. When it rains water leaks in the front passenger floor board. My a/c doesn't work. When coolent was poured into it it also leaked all in the floor.

your heater core is leaking, that would explain the antifreeze on the passenger floor-as for it leaking there when it rains, there is a piece of molding that sometimes move out of place, it is under the hood on the passenger side, below the vent plate (remove the wiper blade arms, the plate for access)-the ac not working? that could be as simple as low freon, or as bad as multiple leaks, comtaminated system, electrical issues-do you mean the blower motor, because with all that moisture stuff you have going on there I wouldn't be surprised if the blower motor has electrical issues due to the flooding.

The MOST IMPORTANT THING is to fix or bypass the heater core, or you will end up needing an engine if it overheats.

2005 Grand Prix heater works fine when blower is off-air coming thru vent gets hot; once blower is turned on air turns cold. Why?

Sounds like a clogged heater core- insufficient coolant circulating through heater core, and as soon as you blow air past the core, it get cooled off.

Water leak passenger side in dodge caravan 2005 carpet soaked

look at the firewall on the engine side and you will see a small stub hose coming out on passenger side about even with the bottom of the heater box inside. that hose drains condensation from the ac...clear it out and you will have a dry floor. (unless heater core is leaking but you didn't mention any overheat or coolant loss so likely that's not a problem)
