check the motor mounts/transmission mounts for excessive wear. Open the hood and with the emergency brake on and the rear wheels blocked with bricks (front and back of the rear tires) have a friend stand to the side and a few feet back of the engine. The other person gets in the car, starts it and with your left foot applied constantly to the brake pedal, use the right foot to rev the motor up and down in drive, then in reverse. You are looking for the engine to show movement front to back or side to side excessively. The engine will stay virtually still during this test if the mounts are good but it sounds like on ore more may be bad.

Engine runs rough and want to die when i put it in gear or when slowing at an intersection some times it runs perfect but not for long i changed sending unit , filter , and complete tune up. sometimes...

This condition can be caused by a sludged up idle speed control valve and a dirty throttle valve, do the following procedure to correct this, if it still doesn't repair the problem have the idle speed control system tested by the dealer.

Get a can of intake cleaner from any local parts store, not carb spray, intake cleaner, it is made by a company called CRC, remove the air intake hose to the engine, hold the idle high so the engine won't stall, then spray the can of cleaner into the intake while keeping the engine running, use at least 1/2 the can, shut down the engine and disconnect the battery for 5 minutes, then restart and complete a number of mixed driving cycles, town, freeway, stop and go etc., after a few days the problem will go away as the system will relearn to the clean intake.

My 1995 ford dies when I take my foot off the gas, it won't idle

It sounds like your EGR valve is either clogged or has malfunctioned. It could also be your IAC (Idle Air Control Valve).

Dies when idling

Well, your car is different from mine. My car was doing the same thing after i got it back from my machenic. He was not able to come back and check it. I however had my other machenic check the car and he said that the car was ideling too high. They pop the hood, and after that day. I can take my foot off the gas and it would not shut off. I suggest you mention this to your machenic and let them have a check at how his the ideling of the car is set.

The ignition is too low (i,e, rpm). Increase it.

My '98 Camry won't stay started. I start it and it just dies not matter how many times I try it. If I leave my foot on the gas it runs but at soon as my foot leaves the gas it dies.

What you have is a bad Idle Air Control ("I.A.C.") valve. This device admist a precise amount of air to keep the engine running at idle. This is a common issue. Get a new one from a dealer, and you will be up and running fine.

First thing to do is check under hood for any "hissing" noises, and check all vacuum hoses are connected properly, and not leaking.
