1999 Dodge V8 with 4WD

Please help us find out what is going on with my husbands truck. He was driving it when the 4WD started trying to go into Nuetral. He says he had it on 2H on the Hwy

Transfer case needs to be taken off and brought to a transmission specialist. I had the same problem with my 99 2500 diesel, and being a transmission specialist myself, i diagnosed that the shift forks and bearings and syncro's in my transfer case had failed and after figuring out how much each part would cost on my rebuild, it was cheaper to buy a brand new transfer case out of zumbrota transmission parts out of Minnesota. The transfer case costed me $995 dollars and my parts added up over $1,100 dollars.

I hope that you have disconnected the battery fire could happen relay click's but will stick at drain could be the fuel pump you hear with the continuse click you might have a shorted starter.I think thats the first place to start.A bad ignition switch will cause this to happen sometimes?
