No power in the swith starter

I'll guess that what you mean is there is no power to the starter switch. It would help, always, to know what you are working on, but in general, most cars have fusible links to protect major circuits. Yours may have blown a fusible link powering the ignition switch, or if you meant the starter solenoid, perhaps the link to it. If you are unfamiliar with these links, google "fusible links".

If I recall correctly, there is a FUSIBLE LINK on the lead that connects to the regulator output then goes through the firewall into the dashboard area. The fusible link will be black or gray plastic and will be stamped with the words FUSIBLE LINK. This can be cut out and replaced with a fuse holder of any type, and an appropriate 30A fuse can be used.
If the fusible link is not at fault, it can be either the IGNITION SWITCH or the IGNITION RELAY (under the dashboard... follow the wires from the ignition switch).

No fier from coil to dist fier running throught fier wall

Electronic engine control module-ecm no.1 yellow wire to eec power relay.white/light blue wire to red/light green wire at ignition switch and fusible link, from fusible link white/light blue wire to ignition coil and eec distributer module. the no. 1 yellow wire at the eec power relay should have voltage on it at all times, it also has a fusible link. good luck!

Changed ignition switch on 88 mustang after it wouldnt start. was also having issue with the blinkers not working unless the switch was exactly in the right position. battery is good. there is no...

If there is no power going INTO the ignition switch, you most likely have a burned fusible link. The ignition switch gets its power from fusible link "A" It is a 16 Gauge, BLACK fusible link connected to the YELLOW wire for circuit #37. The fusible link is connected to the starter relay located on the left fender apron between the washer fluid reservoir and the strut tower.

Circuit #37splits into 3 "legs" at splice #S105. One leg of this circuit goes to the fuse block where it feeds fuse #1 (15 Amp) and fuse #2 (10 Amp).

The other two legs of this circuit BOTH go to the ignition switch. (you should have TWO large yellow wires connected to the ignition switch.)

No electrical current from battery where are fusible links

I realize this is a very old post, but I just encountered the same juice at all to ignition from battery......the problem was the 3 weird looking fuses attached to the positive battery cable. I replaced all 3 for about $12.00 and she fired right up. Some models have a fuse box/panel....mine does not, and these 3 fuses are critical for getting current to the ignition.
I'm sure by now you have it figured out, but for anyone in the future, this may help.

Fusible Links

The engine compartment wiring harness has several fusible links. The same size wire with a special hypalon insulation must be used when replacing a fusible link.
The links are located in the following areas:
  1. A molded splice at the starter solenoid Bat terminal, a 14 gauge red wire.
  2. A 16 gauge red fusible link at the junction block to protect the unfused wiring of 12 gauge or larger wire. This link stops at the bulkhead connector.
  3. The alternator warning light and field circuitry is protected by a 20 gauge red wire fusible link used in the battery feed to voltage regular #3 terminal. The link is installed as a molded splice in the circuit at the junction block.
  4. The ammeter circuit is protected by two 20 gauge fusible links installed as molded splices in the circuit at the junction block and battery to starter circuit.
Other things it MIGHT be are the ignition switch, located on top of the steering column:

The other thing it MIGHT be is a faulty ignition cylinder (where your key goes into to start the K10).

Check the wire harness on the steering column also.
