SOURCE: battery drained
Yeah it is the alternator, but it can be the fuse for the alternator(some types have fuese in the inhouse fuse panel) or it could be the coil or rectifier in the alternator itself, some auto eletricians can repair them, in most cases they recomend you change it. The click click click is the starter getting little or not enough power to be able to tumble the engine. YOu may also want to check the battery poles for corrosion as this will limit the batterys ablility to be charged, also check that the connecting poles on the battery are tight.
