Question about 2001 Kia Sportage
Dash lights went from very dim to total blackness while driving. Power light on left comes on as does "cruise control" indicator, but dial lights and speedometer, odometer lights are out. Headlights are on. Fuse box panel on drivers side (interior) - how does one eopn it to check for fuse porblem?

sound like a manufacturer problem go straight to kia dealership explain to them whats going on/ when you bought the vehicle was it doing it then

Your Vehicle velocity sensor has gone bad or the wire harness has gone bad. Check the wire harness first and if that is good, then replace the sensor. You can find the sensor on the transmission out put shaft on the drivers side. Good luck and keep me posted, be glad to help.
