Only way to know whats going on is to have the engine light checked with a OBD II diagnostic tool, there's a data link connector under the drivers side dash that it plugs into, you can buy one at most auto parts store's, or if you don't want to buy one some auto parts store's will check the engine light with a tester at no cost, for example auto zone, or you could take it back to the mechanic to see if he can diagnose the problem. The service engine light come's on when the pcm (powertrain control module) senses a problem. good luck !

I could not find this switch either, It is actually located in the door latch on the door jam. Switch is somewhere inside. Took my truck to mazda dealer and had it replaced. Anoying problem.

There is a grounding problem with your door switches. You will have to have it traced to find the exact cause. In the meantime you can try pulling the door plunger switches on each door jam. Check for corrosion, clean and reinstall.
