the"Front Control Module " needs replacement...thing that turns lights on when switch is activated or even not acxtivated.

    it has gone short somewhere.

    please check it out.

    also check

There is a relay in the trunk (left hand side wall) that may have been burnt. You may want to check this out.... The wires to the running lights would be broken and exposed, causing a short, which in turn burns the relay in the trunk.
    check it out

This is usually a grounding problem. Either an insufficient ground to the assy or a positive to ground problem. As you mention the running lights work with the lights off, it will probably be related to a problem with the "running lights" system. , I would check for a poor ground related to that light assy or possibly one of the bulbs' internal filaments in that assy touching each other. Or possibly a socket failure at that assy.

    thanks.

I have a 2000 Lincoln Continental that is having problems with the driver side door. We had just gotten it back over a check engine light concern and getting the back windows fixed. While driving in...

Same thing happened to me. I agree with the lubrication solution...I sprayed some wd40 where the latch is as I did not want to take the door apart and it fixed the problem for me.

Where is the fuse for the interior lights on the 2000 Lincoln Continental.

There is one fuse but it covers many of the interior lights. Not sure if your having problems with them all. This fuse covers the door courtyesy lights as well reading lamps, storage bin lamps, glove box and a few other. If this may be what you're looking for it is in the power distribution box located in the engine campartment. It will be in the number 31 position (see diagram below) and it is a 15 amp fuse. I hope this was what you are looking for and that it helped. Good luck.

97 lincoln continental says door is ajar.

the door switches are part of the door latch, the easiest way to remedy this is to spray liberal amounts of WD40 into each latch and open and close the each door a few times, this should loosen up the latch and solve your problem.

Hope this helps.

2000 lincoln continental stuck

Make sure you have brake lights. This is were the shifter solenoid gets it's signal from to get it out of gear.
One thing you can try is turn the igntion switch towards the run postion stopping just short of activating the electronics. Then try and move shifter to neutral then you can start it and out it into gear so you can drive it to get it fixed.
