not sure here as the older model i worked on with a izuzu engine or was it toyota was under the bonnet ,what happens here a lot with the electronic is that when some electrical components get cold its affects the function of them ,Now what this old diesel fitter does to old motors and even new ones i might add is to fit a manual overide ,a push button switch on the dash that makes the relay click in manually or a heavier cable from battery direct to heaters via the heavy push button switch ,then when its really cold you give it some manual overide ,say hold button in for the count of ten then crank engine whilst still holding the heaters on ,cant beat some of these old fashioned ways
