When you have a problem, the advice from this 3rd party is to have the fault codes read first. You will get a real indication of the fault and there is no wasted money on guesses.

I bought a 2010 mitsubishi lancer SMS transmission 65000 Miles, transmission went to safe mode and a P1876 gear blocked (1st) code came on, when i reset transmission worked properly, any advise to prevent...

if the tranmission is now working ok and no codes being thrown up don't worry as the code was just a left over fault from the replacement tranny , one point make sure the trans oil is at correct level and in good condition at all times as most tranny faults start off with the trans oil !

try using a code reader to reset the CPU for starters and go from there . If it doesn't help use the code reader to check for faults.

Mitsubishi lancer check engine light

yeah, if I were you, I will erase the fault code with your OBD2 car code scanner first. If the engine light on, there must have some questions on the throttle position sensor, I will fix it.

That sounds like a fuse problem....Check your fuses and see if one is blown.
