Question about 2001 Ford Focus
Battery is charge, no sound from start at all, that means no clicking
Could be a faulty battery, but more likely that it is in the starter solenoid area. Try holding the key in the start position and giving the starter motor a tap with a hammer or a metal bar. Other than that, it could be a fault with the immobiliser system, is there a red light in the dash flashing fast when you turn the key to the start position? There a quite a few other things that could cause this problem, and you are best to take the vehicle in to a mechanic or Ford dealer for diagnosis if it is nothing simple. If cost is a concern, give the mechanic a upper limit that he can spend on diagnosis and repair.
