Question about Nissan SKYLINE

Open Question

I have a 2001 nissan skyline gt250 that has developed an annoying beeping sound from the dash. I don't think it has to do with the tyre pressure sensor unless it is faulty. Please help.

SOURCE: nissan maxima 2001 panic alarm goes off for no reason

Hello, I had the same problem with my 2001 Maxima. The dealer suggested new key fobs, but the eventual fix was the car battery. When the battery is on the way out, the voltage drop is enough to set it off, just as it would if there was a voltage spike when someone breaks in. I have no problems now!

SOURCE: K & N filter

I don't know if you guys are still on this topic but all cars can have issues with the K&N filters, the newer rangers have that exact issue and so does the focus, probably a dozen more that I don't recall off the top of my head, not only are we talking about the oil that is on the filter itself but also you are changing the airs dynamics when it enters the MAFS, say the stock air box has a velocity horn in it but the new filter does not, that will have slowed the air down and made it more turbulent, the ECU has preset air flow charts for the MAFS readings and changing the way the air flows will mess with the ECU fuel map.
also don't forget that since the K&N filters at best filter less then half as well as a paper filter there is the issue of debris collecting within the intake track and again causing issues with air flow,

SOURCE: I have a CLK200 Convertable with tyre pressure warning on

The light is coming on because ither your tires need to be checked for an under inflated tire, or your pressure sensor inside your tire is bad. Any major tire shop should have a reader to tell if you have a faulty sensor. Your tire pressure that the factory reccomends should be located on your driver's door or door frame on a sticker tag.

Got a 1997 Explore, in the UK. After a long drive 200 kms, got back to London. Tried to park, but NO REVERSE Gear. Called breakdown services, they think its's the 'converter' i

if only the reverse is affected it will not be the converter,if you have no drive in any gears yes the converter drive splines may have stripped but when it happened on my 89 nissan skyline wagon a loud bang was heard when this occurred and i doubt you would have missed this, most likely a snapped reverse band

I have a 2005 nissan tiida. Just the other day felt a wobble from the back tyres. Today the wobble is very bad so decided to remove and check out the tyres. Both back tyres had thread most of teh way round...

This sound like tyre deformation, usually attributed to poor tyre quality or degradation of tyre structure, You should change them as soon as possible as they could become dangerous

May be a broken timing belt. Don't try to start it until you have that ruled out. May cause severe damage to valves/pistons

Nissan 2001 Rear Running lights are out, as are the dash, interior and dome lights. I've heard it's one fuse, 15 amp, under the hood, next to the battery

I know of few cars that place fuses used for lighting (etc) in the engine compartment ...but what do know? lol... I would sooner think your problem is either a relay or fuse INSIDE the vehicle and in close proximity of the fusebox (the one that has the fuse for turn signals, dash, headlamps, 4-way flashers (which is a relay of course). Also, if it controls all of those items, I would be looking for a 20A fuse ....15amp sounds a little 'light'... Cheers mate!

Bonnet open/top up symbol.and how to calibrate tyre pressure cont

alanracrider: on your hood light (alternate term we use here in the states), there are switches located in the engine compartment which the hood come in contact with when it is closed.I do not have any data on your particular car, but if it is like most Nissan products, the switch or switches should be visible. If they are out of adjustment and do not get depressed far enough, they will not break the ground circuit which makes the light stay on.
The tire pressure issue should be the same as it is on any other Nissan produce. I doubt seriously that Nissan developed something just for the GTR which would improve over the present design.
The procedure is as follows: The pressures Must be adjusted "COLD" to the recommended specifications as written on the label in the door opening. Then the car must be driven at speeds above 26kph to activate the tire pressure monitoring system. "USE A TIRE PRESSURE GAGE WHEN CHECKING AND ADJUSTING THE PRESSURES!" According to Nissan, the light should cancel.
I hope this information is correct for your car, as it would address a Nissan "Z" car. Good luck
