Question about 2008 Nissan Versa
My daughter borrowed my 2008 nissan versa which is keyless start. I forgot to tell her and she inserted my husbands key which is also a versa but needs the key to start. She started the car and took off and has called me to say the key is stuck in ignition and wont come out after she parked and turned off car.

Steering is in a bind were wireless key cannot activate. Move steering wheel to the left and right while trying to start. I had the same problem and this is what the Nissan dealership told me to do. I't worked like a dream.
Hopped this helped

Hi what is happening is that your turn off your car and left the wheels turned to one side and specially if your car is parke in a hill what you have to do is to force the steering wheel to the same direction of your wheels this will free up the ignition switch it is going to be hard let me tell you but it will work and this is why your shift don't work once you have the ignition switch free then your shift will work again
