FixYa is the place to ask questions about how to diagnose and repair things. Parts prices can vary considerably from vendor-to vendor, city-to-city, state or province - to state or province and country to country. If you want prices for parts, I would recommend calling your local parts supply store or look it up online at a web site that sells parts and can/will ship to your location.

I have a 05 Malibu jerks to every shift. Flashing two codes together po748 and co561 what does it mean?

When the PCM detects a continuous open, short to ground or short to voltage in the PC solenoid valve circuit, then DTC P0748 sets. DTC P0748 is a type C DTC.
PC - pressure control solenoid .
The powertrain control module (PCM) uses the pressure control (PC) solenoid valve in order to regulate the transmission line pressure. The PC solenoid valve consists of an electrical connector, a coil, an armature, a regulating spring, and a poppet valve. The PC solenoid valve is attached to the control valve body. The PCM compares TP voltage, fluid temperature, gear states, and other inputs in order to determine the line pressure appropriate for a given load. The PCM regulates the pressure by applying a varying amperage to the PC solenoid valve. The applied amperage varies from 0.1 amps for maximum line pressure to 1.1 amps for minimum line pressure. The PCM then monitors the amperage at the return line.

EBCM
DTC C0561 in Antilock Brake System This code is a result of the transmission code .
The electronic brake control module (EBCM) disables the traction control when other electronic control modules set DTCs for components that effect the operation of the traction control system.

I got a OBD car fault code po745.,on my Renault methane senic 2003., 106k ml.,what does it means?

P0745 - Pressure Control Solenoid Malfunction Possible causes
- Low transmission fluid level
- Dirty transmission fluid
- Faulty line pressure solenoid valve
- Line pressure solenoid valve harness is open or shorted
- Line pressure solenoid valve circuit poor electrical connection Help with this
Tech notes
When the a transmission solenoid is malfunction, in most cases the problem is not the electrical part of the solenoid; the problem is foreign material obstructing the mechanical function of the solenoid or the flow of the fluid through the transmission valve body. If the transmission fluid is very dirty, it is recommend changing the transmission fluid and if possible removing the transmission pan for further diagnosis. Excessive debris or metal particles on the transmission pan could be an indication that there is a transmission mechanical failure and that the transmission will need to be rebuilt or replaced.
Help with this
When is the code detected?
The P0745 is detected when TCM detects an improper voltage drop when it tries to operate the solenoid valve.
Symptoms
- Engine Light ON (or Service Engine Soon Warning Light)
- Transmission shift shock
P0745 Description
The line pressure solenoid valve regulates the oil pump discharge pressure to suit the driving condition in response to a signal sent from the Transmission Control Module (TCM).

I have Honda Accord 2001and I put the scanner this Code come out p1768 what this means

Possible causes
- Clutch Pressure Control Solenoid Valve harness is open or shorted
- Clutch Pressure Control Solenoid Valve circuit poor electrical connection
- Faulty Clutch Pressure Control Solenoid Valve

Has to do with the solenoid or wiring to the solenoid inside the transmission. You should have the problem addressed at a transmission shop.

2004 jeep code 1763 what to do

P1763 - Governor Pressure Sensor Voltage Too High

This code is refer for the governor pressure sensor which is located in the valve body of the transmission. If getting power to the sensor and the wires are not open or shorted then the sensor will need to be replaced.

GOVERNOR SOLENOID AND PRESSURE SENSOR
REMOVAL

Hoist and support vehicle on safety stands.
Remove transmission fluid pan and filter.
Disengage wire connectors from pressure sensor and solenoid (see picture)
Remove screws holding pressure solenoid retainer to governor body.
Separate solenoid retainer from governor (see picture)
Pull solenoid from governor body
Pull pressure sensor from governor body.
Remove bolts holding governor body to valve body.
Separate governor body from valve body
Remove governor body gasket.

INSTALLATION
Before installing the pressure sensor and solenoid in the governor body, replace O-ring seals, clean the gasket surfaces and replace gasket.

Place gasket in position on back of governor body
Place governor body in position on valve body.
Install bolts to hold governor body to valve body.
Lubricate O-ring on pressure sensor with transmission fluid.
Align pressure sensor to bore in governor body.
Push pressure sensor into governor body.
Lubricate O-ring, on pressure solenoid, with transmission fluid.
Align pressure solenoid to bore in governor body
Push solenoid into governor body.
Place solenoid retainer in position on governor
Install screws to hold pressure solenoid retainer to governor body.
Engage wire connectors into pressure sensor and solenoid Install transmission fluid pan and (new) filter.
Lower vehicle and road test to verify repair.

Transmission Issues

Most newer automatic trans use solenoids (electrical pressure switches) to help shift gears. In the old days, line pressure, caused by holding the pedal to the floor to pass someone or to take off and speed up changed the gears as the pressure changed in the valve body (brain to shift trans).
Limp mode is a safety feature to allow the trans to continue to operate in a lower than highway gear, like 3rd or 2nd to allow to get vehicle off the road or to "make it to the next exit"

The solenoids are attached inside trans pan to valve body and depending on trans may be easy to get too. Your vehicle should be front wheel drive and valve body will be hidden by the pan on the side of trans, most front wheel drive are. Depending on if you have a friend or family member mechanically inclined to replace because the wheel and maybe axle will have to be removed to get to it.

Cost depends on where you live, labor rates are different around the US. And the solenoid(s) might be a dealer only item.

When was fluid filter last changed? Some tech books will ask to start there because trash in fluid can clog solenoids or their in line filters (inside valvebody)
