Depending on which side you probably have to remove the air filter box or the battery

Why doesnt headlight work on low beam left side?

Bulb may be no good as in headlight bulbs one filament can go leaving only either low beam or high beam operational on one headlight so change the bulb first on that side other than that could be power related

My low beam head lights will not work, but high beam will. What could the problem be.

The headlight bulb has two elements. One works with high beam and the other works with the low beam. The low beam element is broken/fused. You have to change the headlight bulb in this case which is available at any of the auto spares shop.

2001 grand caravan low beam light not working. i chang bulb already i check fuse already.

Hi Every single time I have had a failure of low beam in a headlight without failure of high beam, it has been because the lamp bulb or halogen lamp module has reached the end of its serviceable life, not because of any wiring problems. Low beam burns out first because it is on the most. If low beam is lost simultaneously in both headlights, I would check fuse first, then the headlight switch. If low beam is lost on one side only, it is almost always going to be due to the bulb or lamp module needing to be replaced. In that case, replace them in both headlights because the other one will be going kaput in short order, as well. Also if you already replaced the fuse and bulb check the headlight dimmer control switch.
Thanks for using Fixya.

No headlights only high beams

Both the low beam bulbs must be defective.
People at Jiffylube change headlight bulbs while you wait, if you are not up to the task.

Low beam burnt out

The headlight on an 03 baja are a double element bulb for high an low beam. I replaced mine with 9007 bulb from auto parts store. Be careful to pay attention to bulb position, they can be installed up side down having the high beam as your low beam. I would shine the lights up against a wall or garage door and flip your high and low beams on and off to see how the shine.

When low beam headlight is on passenger sign is

Try this to eliminate new bulbs for both sides:
With a partner behind the wheel:
PULL out the bulbs one at a time. Keep them plugged in. While you are holding the bulb - have your partner click and HOLD the High Beam Selection. This causes the Low Beam and High Beam filaments to both go on and stay on.
Check both sides this way.
While the bulbs are out, look at the filaments that did not illuminate. Are they broken, bent, or have indications they are burnt out?
You can also change to bulbs (left to right, right to left) and recheck using the above method of holding the high beam selector and checking the filaments.

Headlights

The same bulb in a lot of applications controls both the high and low beam. Generally the low beam portion will burn out and for a short time you will be able to use the high beam only. I can't be certain which headlight switch that you checked, but the most common solution is to replace the headlight bulb. The bulb is on the inside of the headlight lense and is accessible by opening the hood and peeling back the rubber cover that covers up all of the headlamp apparatus. Depending on the model of vehicle they are mounted in there differently. Make sure and change both at the same time. It is generally cheaper to purchase new headlight bulbs as a (2) pack and it never fails if you change one the other will burn out in a week. Hope this helps
