Clicking in my wheels when turning left and right

Every time i take a left or right hand turn no matter how slight theres a clicking or scrunching in my wheels it seems. I had it to a garage and they could not find a problem with it but i think differently. Before spending a lot of money to repair something thats not broken would like to narrow my diagnosis down a bit more. Thank you.

If it is a standard transmission it may be inside the tranny. If it is not the CV then expect the tranny will get gradually worse until it blows. I had this problem last year on a 98. Changed axles and it was still there. I lifted the front wheels off the ground ad turned the right front wheel in reverse. There was a catching noise and a click. The tranny blew in about 1000 miles. Damaged teeth on the idler gears on the right side of tranny at axle mount.
I had to change the tranny and when I did I took the old one apart and found the problem.

Why can't I unlock my ignition and start my car?

Put one hand on the steering wheel and rotate slightly left and right alternatively whilst turning the ignition key at the same time with the other hand. This might release the steering wheel and start ignition.

Hope this helps.

The key wont turn , and the sterring is locked and I cant get it out of park

Get in car with right hand put key in ignition and keep slight pressure turning ignition switch toward on position. At same time turn or shake steering wheel from left to right to get the pressure off lock assembley. Once the pressure is off lock assembley you should be good to go.

My key will not turn

Hum...Try this.

With you left hand on the steering wheel and your right hand on the key, turn the key slightly until you feel resistance. Keep the pressure used to turn the key and pull the steering wheel to the left like you are turning left. If this doesn't work then turn the steering wheel to the right while trying to turn the key. If the problem is caused by the steering wheel lock this should allow you to turn the key and starrt your car. It is a very common issue and shows up alot when cars are parked with the wheels turned somewhat to one side or the other.

My 94 plymouth voyager sounds and acts like a wheel bearing humm. i've replaced front and rear wheel bearings and the humm is still there.

I'd certainly rotate tires to see if noise changes at all, as well as take a good look at tread on front tires, especially for excess or unusual wear on edges, especially outside of right front, if your quite sure the noise is coming from the right side. Does the noise increase, decrease, or stay same, on a left hand turn? Another thing would be to check all motor, and transmission mounts and see if it looks like things may have shifted slightly, or if they appear worn or broken, as well as If engine/transaxle has shifted slightly it can cause similar noises as well. As far as left front bearing goes, I wouldn't rule it out 100% either, unless you are positive noise is from right front area. You have to remember, either way you turn the wheel, will slightly shift either bearing if there is play in it. Rule out easy stuff first like tires.

check your boots. old ones wear out and let debris in. you may have to have the front axle replaced if you let it go too long but check your boot which should be behind your behind your wheels towards your motor

I have a vibration in the front drivetrain on my Sorento. the vibration starts at about 30-35 mph and gets loudest at about 65-70 mph. The weird thing is that teh Vibration and associated noise completely...

ball joints or bent rim. Does it click or thunk when turning? It may be tie rod as well. You can lift it up and try turning wheel by hand and shake it to see how much play there is.
Check the there is a weight on the rim. Every one is supposed to have one.!!!!

My ignition will not turn over in the meaning of the key would not turn at all not that it wouldnt start the key would not turn at all seemed like it was locked somehow

Your steering lock sounds like the problem. Try rotating the steering wheel slightly so that the pressure is not on the ignition lock and the key should turn and you can start your engine. The steering wheel will only need to mave a fraction of a turn to take the pressure off the lock.
