Question about 1995 Toyota T100 Xtracab
Have a 1997 T100 SR5. 146,000 miles. Had the same problem. It's the heat shields over the exhaust manifolds. The welds break and they rattle. I used high-temperature exhaust putty and c-clamps to hold them steady. Works great. (Don't have access to a welder)

Most likely a heat shield noise on the exhaust manifold or under the truck above the catalityc converter, the most common is from a heat shield that is ether loose or cracked on the exhaust manifold

could be the brakes need to be inspected........the ticking is designed to alert you to replace the brake pads...........
