Youll have to raise the hood on the truck to access the screws that hold it in place there should be 2 of them holding it

How do i remove the front wiper blades on a 1987 gmc jimmy so that i can remove the wiper motor

If you're talking about the wiper ARM pull the wiper away from the windshield and at the base of the arm you should see a little clip.
Get a little screwdriver or needle nose pliers and pull the clip away from the base. It will not come all the way off, when it is pulled away just jiggle the arm at the base while pulling up. It might take some jiggling but it will come off.

How to replace windshield wiper motor

You need to remove the wiper arms then the cowl vent grill and the screen thats under it of corse remove the negitive cable from the battery first. Then there is a clip that holds that holds the ball from the motor to the drive link that makes the arms move. Then take the three bolts that secure the motor to the fire wall disconnect to wireing harnest and put the new one in. The cowl vent grill is held by four small screws two on each side and the clip can be removed with small pliars

The windshield wiper does not run, but i can hear a humming when i turn it on. I was told that it may need some kind of module.

It sounds like you may have a broken drive from the electric motor or the linkage to the wiper arms have broken.. The only way to tell for sure is to strip out the wiper motor and the linkages..which can be a big job and can entail removal of several other parts first.. Try moving the wiper arms manually, with your hands.. If you can move the wiper arms across the screen then the linkages have broken and will need to be replaced as they are not a repairable item..

97 jimmy wiper motor relay fuse problem hear motor running and wipers don't go. fuse or motor?

if u hear motor not elect problem -most likely linkage unbolted from motor with motor running try to move the wiper arms if move freely than need to remove cowl and check the linkage hook up to motor -if wipers dont move freely than possible motor damage/seized linkage damaged but still would have to look under cowl at connection at linkage

How do you gain access to rear wiper motor on a 1997 Jimmy As of now when motor is turned on, it makes a clicling sound and shaft does not move.

the wiper motor is connected to a actuating then to the wiper and one of the them has come undone. To remove pop back hatch look at outside edge for small screws if none are seen place large screwdriver between kick planel and metal and gentle pull and remove from vehicle exposing motor. If clip break you can get most from local parts stores later
