Question about 2005 Infiniti G35

1 Answer

Infinity g35 sedan slip, vdc lights

Whenever I turn the car on and put in it gear the car will sputter and shut off. I'll turn it back on and then it will run. But then if I get to 2000-2500 rpms the car will got into limp mode and not go past 2500 rpm. The slip, VDC off, and service engine soon, lights are all on most of the time and sometimes will turn off and the car will work fine. Suggestions?

When ever you get these waring lights it means the computer control module has sensed a fault in the systems many parts or wiring, in order to begin the diagnostics to repair the fualt the system must be scanned for fault codes. this is the number 1 first thing that must bwe done.

We had the codes pulled and I don't know the numbers that it brought up bit it had to do with the tps sensor, which we replaced and it did not help. I have been doing some internet research and on a whim decided to check the sensors attached to the insides of the wheels. Cleaned them and nothing. Later on my husband decided to randomly pull sensors and see if they needed to be cleaned. He cleaned several and then checked it and the lights went off. Seems to be working great now for the last 2 days!

I don't know what sensors you refer to here.

It was the wheel speed sensor, I'm thinking. Anyway that one didn't correct the problem. But when he checked other sensors and cleaned them and cleared the ecu the car is now working great!

SOURCE: G35, 2004 SLP and vdc dash lights come on.

there is a sensor located on each one your wheels that controll several features like BA, EBD, VDC, ABS etc. its metal round cylinder that monitors the rotation and characteristics of the wheel. This can get clogged with dirt and debris from every day driving. Clean off the sensors reset the ecu and everything should be fine. hope this helps.

SOURCE: vdc, slip, abs comes on my g35

Recently had the same issue one week ago. I had to replace the cam and crankshaft position sensors. Which were about $600 in repairs. You can always take your car to AutoZone and let them put it on diagnostic machine for free.

SOURCE: I have a 2004 infiniti sedan g35... the pass side seat does not

i just fixed this problem - the switch is bad - take out the seat - 4 bolts on the bottom 4 corners and then remove the whole switch - either buy a new one around $200 or unsauter the switch and clean it but be careful as there are a lot of parts inside that can fall out. i cleaned mine and it works fine beats spending the money.

1992 Dodge Stealth SOHC - no problems, running great, then I replaced the distributor (forgot to mark it) & now the car won't start up. It'll turn over, even got it to start once but won't...

put number 1 cylinder at top dead center and drop in distributor so the rotor points to number 1 on cap. may have to try several times as gear moves when lowering dist.

Sputtered out and now it won't stay running; dies when put in gear.

Mass air flow , crank sensor . I wouldn't discount anything . Having a scan tool that can view engine sensor data would be a great help too , testing fuel pressure and flow and back pressure test the exhaust .

Just replaced the clutch and still wont engage or disengage

It can't both not engage and not disengage? If you can't put it in gear even with the engine shut off than there is something wrong with the transmission internally. Let me know if you have any questions and I'll do my best to answer them. Thank you for using FixYa.com!

Well I have a 1998 GMC Suburban SLT that has a problem I have to jumpstart twice a day or whenever i shut the car off I replaced all the wireing (except the battery cables) got a new altanator and new fuse...

Simply put it sounds like you have something draining the battery, the daytime running lights came out way before 2001. I have a 98 and there are daytime running lights on mine. When the vehicle is running there should be a green light in your cluster in the top left corner, that comes on whenever you start the truck. that signal also will shut off when you actually turn your headlights on. if there are any accessories plugged in or running live, lights, amp/subs, xm radio, car charger for a cell phone. Anything like this could be draining the battery, along with interior light left on. Check everything make sure all is either unplugged, disconnected, or turned off. That should about solve the problem... hopefully. Good Luck!
