The REV limiter is part of the computer control module, it is not a stand alone part, the RPM limit is programmed into it by the factory. The throttle body is where the air intake hose from the air cleaner connected to the engine.

SOURCE: i am looking for the real manual that comes with

The manual would tell you totake it in to the dealer and you should of asked for the manual when you bought the car, it is very difficultto get one and for free even when they are new. For my 2008 ranger I ad the book but had to pay $50.00 for the cd that aslso came with it. cars are no longer the same if you have a yellow check engine light take it into the dealer now, if it is flashing all the time take it in right away, if it has a red check engine light don't drive it have it towed to the dealer it's still under warrenty and won't cost you anything. if it has a symbol like this in yellow ([[[) IT MEANS YOU HAVE LOW AIR IN A TIRE AND NEED TO blow up tire or inflate tires to proper pressure which should be 28 32 psi.

SOURCE: 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited 8L, engine revs

THE FIRST THING IS TO HAVE THE COMPUTER SCANNED FOR CODES, THESE CODES WILL HELP IN FINDING PROBLEM, ALSO CHECK THE IDLE AIR CONTROL VALVE, AS THIS VALVE CONTROLS THE IDLE AND GOES BAD OFTEN. AND LAST TAKE A GOOD LOOK AT VACCUM LINES FOR LEAKS, MOVE THEM AROUND AND LISTEN FOR A HISSING NOISE. GOOD LUCK.

Check your under hood fuses. There are separate fuses for high and low beams, and sometimes left and right. If this is not the case, then check the connector itself to see if any of the contacts are pulled out or corroded. Beyond that, you will have to consult a reputable mechanic. Best of luck!

2007 Jeep Patriot check engine light flashing running rough

The flashing light is telling the driver the problem is serious enough to damage the catalytic converter.
You need to get the computer checked for trouble codes to proceed with testing.

Engine starts and idles fine, but will not rev up (2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee 3.1 diesel auto)

If it was a fuel shortage the engine would rev but to limited speed. This is a lack of air to throttle body. Check for clogged air filter and all the piping and the throttle body.

Where is the throttle body on 2007 jeep patriot 2.4

In the 2007 jeep patriot the throttle body is located on the bottom right hand corner of the engine near the cooling fan, under the coolant hose coming from the radiator. If you follow the air intake hose from the air filter, which sits right above the battery, it ends at the throttle body. Once you take the battery out, undo the air intake hose from the filter, remove the filter casing, and undo the coolant hose from the engine you will have much easier access to the throttle body. The hardest part is loosening the clamp on the air intake hose connecting it to the throttle body (tight space). Once that hose is off, the throttle body has 4 bolts to the block and 1 mounting bracket bolt and than it comes out easy.
