your right, it could be a bulb or It could also be a case of bad / loose contact either on the positive connection or the groundings due to dirt and others

If the right side signals are working properly and you can hear the signal flasher clicking when the right side signals are selected, the flasher is not the problem. Its more likely you have a short to ground in the left side wiring somewhere.

Either your cylinder rings are failing or your headgasket has broken and is the culprit. One final possibility is that your EGR value is plugged.

As a rule of thumb, oil and filter every 3000 miles, air filter everyt 20,000 miles, transmission oil every 50,000 miles and spark plugs every 80,000 miles.
