Remove the spark plug from number 1 cylinder and rotate the engine until you fell pressure with your finger over the hose or other suitable plug then look down on the crankshaft pulley for the mark that says "TDC" carefully finish moving the crank pulley to the TDC mark, you are there.

Terminals 12 and 13 are not standard. Manufactures can use them as they see fit. I'm not as familiar with Toyota as some. From what I can find terminal 12 (TS) seems to be associated with some Toyota 4Runner feature called "slip". Terminal 13 (TC) is another Toyota feature called Timing Check. I hope this helps you.

Need to remove the ignition lock cylinder to replace it cause the key is lost

turn the ignition to the on position then on the bottom of the steering colum just under the lock cylender thare is a hole that leads up to the cylender. get a straight pick or somthing with a point on it and insert in hole apply a little steady force while pulling straight out on the cylender. i am assuming you are talking about the ignition lock cylender.

Cylender

Hi,

Depends on whether your Tribute has the 4cylinder or a V-6.

4 cylinder - standing at front of vehicle, #4 would be right most;
V-6 standing at front of vehicle, #4 would be left most on the bank closest to front.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.

Thank you for using FixYa.
