SOURCE: 1999 Honda Civic EX fault codes 1366 and 1399

This code is not documented so the code reader is giving a false reading.
If the car runs OK and check engine light is not on, I would forget about it.

It could be that your syncro for the reverse gear is gone. Which would have to be brought to a tranny shop not a do it your self type of job.

Transmissions reverse ànd high gear gone

with no car information, I'm unable to offer much help, but it's a common issue with transmission shift solenoids.

just google/youtube search transmission shift solenoid replacement and add in the information about your car.

like "2004 honda civic, 2.0 transmission shift solenoid"
You can do the job yourself and save hundreds. It can be messy, but it's not really that hard in most cases.

The Engine Control Module (ECM) uses signals from the vehicle speed sensor to detect the actual gear position (1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th or 5th gear). Then the ECM compares the actual gear with the shift schedule in the ECM memory to detect mechanical troubles of the shift solenoid valves and valve body.

I had code p0758 solenoid circuit B electrical

Here is the definition of the code. You may need to have a transmission shop take a look at it.

P0758 HONDA Description Shift solenoid valve B is turned ON or OFF by the Transmission Control Module (TCM) in response to signals sent from the park/neutral position (PNP) switch, vehicle speed and Engine Control Module (ECM) (throttle opening). Gears will then be shifted to the optimum position.

2004 Chev Aveo not shifting into 4th gear

Out of the blue my aveo flashes Hold and won't go into fourth. Disconnected the battery to clear the code and it shifts fine until the car goes through a cycle. I'm sure it's a some low qual Korean sensor/solenoid. Overall, this is has been a great econobox reminiscent of my 1989 Honda Civic. I've replaced most of the sensors with NON -Korean replacements and really haven't had many issues. So when I find the offending solenoid/sensor I will post it here.

My 1997 Honda Civic has a few seconds delay engaging into Reverse. Forward gears have no problems but when i put it in "R" it takes like 5 seconds before engaging. Fluid level is ok.

Basically you should have the vehicle's reverse circuit pressure tested by a certified ASE Transmission Repair Shop. They will be able to tell you if there is a blockage in the cricuit, reverse shift solenoid is on its way out ,or a gearing problem even if there is a manual shift valve issue. Good luck
