Question about 1988 Nissan 300ZX
Acts like it is getting no gas when going up hill you can back off and it will catch up and go on some times, changed plugs, wire's, rotor button
You very likely have a fuel pressure problem or a problem with the MAF(mass airflow) sensor, check the fuel pressure and if that is ok I would suggest you replace the MAF. It is located in the air intake hose to the engine. A picture of the MAF is below.

Check your fuel pressure because it sounds like your fuel pump is weak.With the engine running and the pressure regulator vacuum hose disconnected it should be 37 psi.
