SOURCE: Rear seat removal 2000 merc Villager

We have a 1997 Mercury Villager. I don't know how different it is from ours. We cannot remove the back seat. We can remove the middle seat and slide the back seat forward. I hope this helps.

Where is the bcm located on a 95 buick roadmaster? My interior lights stay on and I want to troubleshoot by disconnecting the bcm.

Your vehicle has no BCM ! Which interior lights ? dome , courtesy , insturment panel ? Dimable light's ? Stuck door switch ! Find a wiring diagram at http://bbbind.com/free_tsb.html ! Do you know how to do basic automotive electrical testing ? Videos on youtube . The wiring diagram is showing a dome courtesy lamp relay , if the contact's were stuck closed the light's would stay on . But there is no BCM .

Courtesy and dome lights won't shut off. Could the courtesy light relay be the problem and where is it located? I already replaced the control timer module which didn't help.

the courtesy and dome lights are operated by switches in the door frame look around the opening and look for a small black button
that button presses back in and breaks the circuit thereby putting out the light
if it is earthed ( grounded) at the back then the lights will stay on
there is one for each door and any one will keep the lights on

95 buick lesabre door jam button that turns dome light on and off

The complexity of the problem depends upon whether your Buick has lights with or without illuminated entry. In the former, a remote accessory control module is used in addition to an interior lamps relay position F circuit which could have a sticking relay. The "simpler" circuit has no remote accessory control module.

I have power rear vents on my 98 Villager that does not operate. I cannot locate it on the fuse box to replace so i checked each fuse and none were blown. Where is it?

go to our site for help.

your owner manual has fuse diagrams.

the qtr windows go through the power window relay. If other windows work, not likely the relay or timer module.

you need 12 volts at this wire on the overhead console switches.

  • Measure the voltage between the power rear quarter glass window regulator control switch C903 , "O/BK" and ground.

  • If no 12 v, SERVICE the "O/BK" wire between the power window relay and the power rear quarter glass window regulator control switch.
The ower window relay is above and behind the fuse panel on the dash. 2 relays and turn signal flasher in same area. Turn signal light on to locate flasher. 2 bolts hold bracket with relays & flasher.

I have a 95 mercury villager and the brake light won't turn off when the vehicle is off

Hi, the problem is usually the stop light switch above the pedal, but can also be the relay. First find the switch above the pedal and take the connectors off. If the lights go out, replace the switch. If not, please get back to me for info on the relay and light circuit.

Is fuse #20 in the statement above the same for a 1997 Merc. villager. My rear wind flaps; with the over the head switches, won't work. My book calls it the #20 fuse- Horn. Can you clarify?

go here and ask the question. Fuse locations often change from year to year.
1999 has the flip windows operated from the door switch, no overhead.

there is circuit breaker #1 and a window relay for circuit protection.

My battery went dead in my 1999 Chevy Silverado 1500 I put the battery charger on and I noticed the dome light was on and the headlights where on so I unhooked the battery and charged it hooked it back...

it's not required to have the key in the ignition for either the dome lights or headlights to be on unless of course you mean the daytime running lights. be that as it may, locate the head light relay in the engine compartment fuse panel near the battery and replace it. this should resolve the issue. the dome light could be an issue with another relay this time located in the interior fuse panel

they may possibly be on the same circuit so replacing the relay in the engine compartment may fix the dome light issue

95 Mercury Villager will not start

check/replace the starter relay switch in the relay box under the hood. The relay box is located on the front right of the engine compartment. easy fix, inexpensive part if that is the problem.
