You can try locking/unlocking 3 times in a row with the remote to reset the Upper Electronic Module. I'm not sure where the motor is. The UEM is in the rearview mirror, I think. If the alarm siren goes out, the sunroof won't work, which is why I asked if you were getting the message. Does your alarm work OK? Is the sunroof ground wire connected securely?

The ground connector is under one of those 10mm bolts. Maybe you don't have one on your car.

What's the number of the lighter fuse for Volvo S40 model 2011

The fuse is located on the CEM. To get to it you will need to get under the passenger side dash. Under the dash there is going to be a cloth like cover. You will need to press up on the center of the 2 clips holding the cover. Once you have the cover removed you will be able to see the CEM. To get the CEM down you need to twist the 2 tabs that are holding it up. Once you got those off the CEM should drop down just a bit and you will be able to pull it down to expose the fuses. If my memory serves me right it should be fuse #45 and it is a 15 amp fuse.

My 2006 Volvo V50 won't start.

Check the passenger foot area. The CEM is located there and many time passengers unplug connections with their feet unknowingly.

There is only thin insulation between the foot area and the CEM.

CEM= Central electronics module.

Volvo s80 alarm

Have the codes read out for the vehicle. It is likely that the siren for the alarm is causing the false alarm. If the siren is bad, there will be a code set in the central electrical module. (CEM)
