Question about 1989 Acura Legend
I replaced the gas tank in a 1989 acura and now i think i lost the prime
to the fuel pump.
when i turn the key i can hear the fuel pump turn on for 2 or 3 seconds and
is this a fuel pump problem or is there some safety device in the fuel pump
that makes it cut out if it is not getting fuel
thanks in advance for any info
Where is the fuel pump? Any air leeks up streem from the fuelpump? even a small one and all it pumps is air. What condition is the in tank screen? if dirty replace it. Three second shut off time is for safety the interlocking device on older cars was theoil pressure switch on newer onesthe computer. (do you have gas in the tank?:))
