Sorry to inform you, but I have been trying to solve this problem for a customer of mine who is in the military. Subaru will not release any information on how to do this.

Just hard wire the lights into anything that is hot when the car is running. If your looking for some kind of alternate solution please let me know. Also did you want them on also when the headlights are off? You can also hard wire them with a switch inside the cab and that way you can flip the switch whenever you would like.

Testimonial: "I solved the problem by pinning-out the connector for the headlight switch on the turn signal arm. It just took time, solder, and some electrical tape"
check www.car-part.com if you are looking for a used one otherwise you will need to go to the dealer. If you buy a salvage part you will most likely need to get it flashed programmed to match your VIN . Most modules are VIN specific in late model vehicles, so you may want to investigate further before you buy anything. Flash programming a used one will probably still be cheaper than a new dealer part though.

SOURCE: Day time running light problem
The problem with the DRL issue describd in the above posts is the DRl module(it needs to be replaced). The buzzing relay and intermittent on/off of passenger side DRl are indicators that the module needs to be replaced.
