SOURCE: Ford Crown Vic p0300 random cylinder misfire

take a look at the EGR valve it could be either vacum controlled or electronic either way what seems to be the problem is that the valve is stuck in the open position until the engine warms up you can gently tap the egr valve with a small hammer or a screw driver and you can see that it runs smooth, now if the egr valve is vacum controlled replace the valve. if it is electronoc controlled replace the valve and the module for the egr valve.

SOURCE: Wiper motor replacement for a 99 crown vic

I replaced the same part on a 1994 Crown Vic. There are a few bolts which go through rubber mounts on the firewall and that is how the wiper motor fits against the firewall. There is a clip on the wiper drive that must be pressed and slid off the wiper shaft. The hardest part was getting clearence between the engine and wiper motor. If I remember there was a way to turn the wiper case to clear the engine. I have asked myself why this was engineered like this? There is nothing important in the way that 3/4" of clearance could have been given for removal.

SOURCE: 99 crown vic police interceptor steering wheel??

i have ran into 2 issues in these vehicles---if it binds while sitting still also, check the steering shaft, i have found the u-joints in the shaft tighten up and binds dangerously tight---if they are free, sounds like you may have a steering box issue or restriction in a line---hope this was helpful!!

Temp gauge not working 1991 ltd crown vic

Find temp. sending unit on engine. If one wire type ground that wire to good engine ground, with key on gauge should go all the way to hot. If it does replace faulty sender. If it doesn't than you have bad gauge, wire or connection. ( If replacing sender, make sure engine is cold. remove radiator cap to releave pressure and you will loose antifreeze when it comes out install new one quickly and don't use teflon tape as this needs to be able to ground to engine.)

'coolant sensor bad' message flahses on lcd panel.

The coolant temperature sensor is most commonly located near the thermostat housing. It will have 2 wires connecting it. Don't confuse this sensor with the coolant temp sending unit that controls your gauge temp, which generally has 1 wire connecting to it. Removal and replacement of the coolant temp sensor is fairly simple and best of all, it's cheap. You'll pay maybe $15-$20 for it and I would HIGHLY recommend replacing it! It is arguably the most important sensor on your vehicle, as it tells the computer how rich/lean to run the engine based on its temperature. As it ages, the thermistor inside the sensor can tend to run out of calibration and may cause the computer to think the engine is much warmer or cooler than it really is. This can lead to hard starting, rough operation, overly rich/lean fuel mixture, etc.

I hope this helps! Please let me know if I can be of further assistance in this matter. :)
