This a crank angle sensor code. Disconnect the cam shaft sensor momentarily this should cause the fault to temporarily disappear,If it does'nt its probably a bad crank angle sensor.

Starts idels badly and dies unplug mapsencer runs better but cant drive it dies coad is p0121

The code is for your throttle position sensor.
This sensor tells the computer how far the throttle is open, if this sensor is faulty the computer does not know how to manage fuel and ignition, or will not do it well.

Unplugging the map sensor only makes the computer revert to theoretical settings to allow the vehicle to run.

It looks as if your problem is with the throttle position sensor or its circuit.

Hope this brings you closer to a solution, remember to leave feedback and vote. Good Luck

I have a 98 chevy blazer and the checkengen light is on and the coades are po115, po174, po300, and po1153. I have changed two o2 sensers and the catalacconverter and the plugs and wires. I reset the...

More than likely, you've got a leaking or deteriorated PCV tube connection (hole in a vacuum hose) which will cause the engine to run a little rought at idle. Look for a small hole in any rubber hoses between the PCV valve on the crankcase and the engine's intake near the firewall at the back of the motor. This should resolve the PO174 (fuel trims) code and PO300 (misfires). Also the PO1153 has to do with exhaust sensors and since you've changed the sensors you probably have an exhaust leak before the sensor, probably a bad exhaust header gasket.

Sounds like your oil pressure sencor is out,or your oil pump is going out.If the car looses oil pressure it will shut itself off.To be honest I think your oil pump is going out.All that said you have checked your oil level to make sure its full right? If the oil pressure sencor is bad or going bad it will have the same proublem.Get a coad checker and see what coad its throwing. That will tell you alot.

I have a 2003 Expedition with 110,000 miles

This is more than likely a vacuum leak, with the engine running listen under the hood for rushing air, another method to find a vacuum leak is to spray short bursts of carb cleaner in different areas (start by looking behind the throttle body, this is the most common place) and listen for a change in engine RPM, hope this helps
