Question about 2003 Nissan Altima
My car remote fell inside water and since then the power on the remote refuse to come on,i took it to a tectnisian who said he can not activate security system what do i do?
O.k... most likely you have some corrosion inside the remote... go to autozone... get the smallest wire brush they have... it should be 1/2 inch... by 1/2 inch... by about 5 inches long... or something close... and the bristles will be real close together... o.k., go home... remove the battery on the remote... and take remote apart... give it a good shake for 30 seconds... and place a paper towel around the circuit board of the remote... using the thumb and index finger... then ever so gently... apply very little pressure and dry out the remote some, now... leave the board in the towel and go get you a hair dryer and dry the remote the rest of the way... keep the hair drier about 6 inches away from the remote... do that for 2 minutes going side to side, remove the board from the towel... now... using a magnifing glass... inspect the remote... look for anything that looks like a white powder... and ever so gently... clean the board... both sides... when you think you have it all... put the remote back together and try out... if it works for you now... glad to hear it... be careful next time, if not... change batteries... if it still doesn't work... go get another remote and have it programmed... that one's done for... sorry
