Question about 1996 Toyota Corolla
I have 1996 model toyota corrolla. When I appy brakes I see a red glow on picture which resemble oil bowel (on the left side of the steering). I am seeing this recently after getting the oil changed. I don't have the manual. Can anyone guide me on what might be the problem?
Thanks in advance
First and foremost you have to check your DIP STICK oil level. If the oil is within normal oil level there should be no problem with your engine lubrication. If the oil warning light comes on only if you step on the brakes, there must be a short in the brake light system and the oil pressure sending unit. trace the wires in the oil press sending unit if it frays with other electrical lines. trace the lines of the brake switch which should be in the brake pedal under the dash. try wiggling it gently. OR unless somebody worked on the electricals before.

You either have a malfunctioning oil pressure sending unit, possibly damaged by the oil change, or, low oil pressure. Replace the oil pressure sending unit, and if the lamp continues to glow, you may need some internal engine repairs.
