SOURCE: 2004 cts cadillac service security system; key

Has nothing to do with security system. You either have a bad shifter assembly, or a faulty lock cylinder in your ignition switch.

SOURCE: theft system locked

To get the key out; look under the steering wheel for a plastic flat head screw. untwist it and then push the spring in and your key will be free. Then, go to your fuse box and remove the main fuses and you will hear the doors unlock when the system reset itself. Plug them back in and start your car. This just happened to me... seems the only things that were working were the navigation screen, headlights, fog lights, and reading light on the inside. Dash board was all dark except the engine light.

SOURCE: what is the firring order for 2006 Cadillac cts

Without the size of your Engine listed here, I'll give you the firing order for 4-cylinders, 6-cylinders and 8-cylinders. On a four cylinder, the firing order is 1-3-4-2. On a 6-cylinder engine the firing order is 1-5-3-6-2-4. On an 8-cylinder, it's 1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2. If it's a V-6 or V-8, then the odd cylinders are on the left side of the Engine and the even numbers are on the right side of the engine.

Hope this Helps,

~00 Buck~

Hey Bambi. GM just issued a huge recall in 2006-2014 vehicles. Search GM 2014 recall to see if your car is included. I know the recall had something to do with the ignition.

Hello and welcome to FixYa!
I believe that he tripped the BCM (body control module). If the BCM is faulty, you can expect electrical failures on your vehicle for the electrical circuitry runs through the BCM. You may need to have it replaced to resolve the electrical issues.
Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa! Have a good one!

Can't remove key from ignition. Battery seems to be dead but sparks when I put the charger on. Still can't remove key.

Tumblers broke in the ignition and have caused the ignition to "lock up". You need to replace the ignition assembly.
