Question about 2000 BMW 323i
I have had the car in several times at various shops trying to figure out what the annoying rattling noise is. It occurs when driving over pothole or pulling off road...i.e. turning into a driveway. On smooth roadway no noise. The front and rear end suspension has been changed from shocks/struts, pack / pinon, control arms & bushings, sway bars, tie rods, power steering pump and pullies. It sounds like it's coming from the driver's side of vehicle, my wife thinks it's the passenger side. I was driving slowly today listening to the noise and it sounds like it is coming from underneath the hood more than the suspension. But shops can't place or pin point the source of the noise. Front end suspension is tight no problems there, not sure what it could be??
