Question about Buick Century
Although all indicators are working, when I turn on the Head Lamps of the car, the Dash Board stay completely dark. The Cigar Lighter light and Radio control button on the Steering Wheel are not working either almost like the Dimmer button on the Head Lamp Switch was completely turned to the Left. I tried playing the the nub without any results. I managed to get the Odo, gear box indicator and Radio Clock which were barely lit back to high intensity by removing the Dimming Panel Fuse from the Fuse Box.
Unfortunately, it did not work for the rest of the Dashbord. All other indicator ligths, Cruise, Flashers, Hi Beam etc are working fine.
It seem to point to the Head Lamp Switch but before I start to open the Dash board I'd like to be sure.
Anyone has an Idea?
What year is this vehicle? It might have an ambient light sensor that has failed if it's 90's+,but older it's most likely the dimmer switch. If it's early 80's you should be able to replace it w/o having to removed the dash, just small panel cover nearby.
