2006 ZX6R Tail light and horn not working

Hi, A bit of background to the problem. Recently I replaced the clutch lever and tested all functions on the controls on the left handlebar. Horn etc all worked. A few days later my horn stopped working. That I could live with; but on the ride home from work a driver pointed out that my taillight was out. I had done my usual checks and the tail light was on and brake lights worked before I set off. I have checked the fuses and they are fine for the horn/light. I can’t see anything with the wiring. Any idea what would kill both? I recent installed a new end can, but I have no idea if heat/vibration could be affecting it. Cheers

SOURCE: plugged in a trailer and now brake lights and horn don't work

There definitely should be a fuse for your brake lights. It should be inside the car fuse box, but sometimes it'll be under the hood (very rare). There's also a switch above the brake pedal that turns your brake lights on. This switch may be faulty

How do I fix the horn on 2006 Impala

System Description
The horn PCB relay is non replaceable ,soldered to the underhood fuse / relay box. . You would have to take the box a part to get at it . Is the air bag light lit on the instrument cluster ? Could have an open wire in the Clock spring , do you know what a clock spring is ? It is inside the upper part of the steering column , It allows the steering wheel to be turned full right to full left keeping the horn an all the buttons an air bag connected electrically. When the horn button is pressed, ground is applied through the horn switch contacts and the horn relay control circuit to the coil side of the relay. The horn relay coil is then energized, causing the relay switch contacts to close applying voltage through the horn control circuit to the horns. For theft deterrent functions, the body control module (BCM) also controls the horn relay by applying ground to the relay control circuit to the relay.
Circuit/System Testing
With a test lamp connected to ground, probe each of the test points on the HORN fuse while activating the horns. The test lamp should illuminate at one or both of the fuse test points.
?‡'
If the test lamp does not illuminate at either test point, refer to the Horn Switch Test.

?‡'
If the test lamp illuminates, refer to the Horn Test.

Ignition OFF, disconnect the inline harness connector C275. Ignition ON, test for B+ between the horn relay control circuit terminal B and ground.
?‡'
If less than B+, test the control circuit for an open/high resistance. If the circuit tests normal, replace the underhood fuse block.

Momentarily connect a 3-A fused jumper wire between the control circuit terminal B and ground. The horns should work.
?‡'
If the horns do not work, replace the underhood fuse block.

If all circuits test normal, test or replace the horn switch

The PCB relay horn system consists of the following components:
?€¢
Horn switch

?€¢
Horn PCB relay

?€¢
Horn assembly

?€¢
Body control module (BCM)

?€¢
HORN fuse 15 A

1996 horn doesn't work but alarm does

I had to go to a salvage yard and purchase an air bag (which include the horn contacts) to repair my horn. The wiper washer could be a list of things. Does your fluid run out on the ground? - broken washer hose? Listen by your lower right front fender behind the wheel and have someone push your washer lever and see if you can hear the pump running. If not, could be a pump motor (check with a test light after pulling the inner fender) or the multi-function lever in the steering column.

2006 buick lacross horn not working

This may be a bad horn or relay or fuse, you will need to locate the horns and have someone push on horn pad while you with a test light test for power at connector. If there is power going to the horns then the horns are bad, if there is no power then check fuses first, if fuses are good then replace the horn relay.

I have a 1990 Mercury Cougar. Several problems...Blinkers, hazards, horn, and break lights are not working. However the break light in the back window comes on when the break is pressed. Checked fused and...

I am unaware of what a "CO" display is.
Now with the blinkers, hazard, horn and brake lights not working that may be the multi funtion switch (blinker switch) that is located inside the column (where the blinker lever attaches).
Obviously the blinker, hazard and horn will all work off of something in the column. Brake lights, you may think a switch on the pedal.

the brake lights do work with that switch but when you have the kind of tail lights where a turn signal light shares the same bulb as a brake light, the brake light is cancelled for the turn signal by running through the multi function switch inside the column.
The third brake light does not blink so its not on that same circuit.

Horn not working fuse is good

Hi, you have to conduct a small test yourself to get the cause of the problem
Start by testing the horn itself. Run a jumper wire to the power connector on the horn, and to the positive battery terminal. When you touch the battery terminal, the horn should sound. If it does not, replace the horn.
If the horn is good, the problem is either in the switch in the steering wheel, or in the horn relay!!

2006 Hyundai Elantra horn does not work

Hi the only things i can think of here would be the following

Faulty horn switch

Faulty horn (the bit that goes beep ;-)

The relay for the horn

or somewhere in the wiring it is shorting out and making the horn fail

I wouldnt let the dealer give me the car back until they have checked all of these all very simple jobs

Hope this helps
