Not sure since you are stalling that either one of these is your problem. I can tell you that if you are having a no start situation when it is warm/hot outside that the cause most likely is the main/PGMFI relay which is common for that year Honda. Below are some tests for both the relay and the ignitor inside the distributer you basked for. As I said heat causes problems for the relay so it may test good but as it gets hot outside it may test bad. Hope this helps.....

SOURCE: 1990 Honda accord horn problem

Horn fuse should be located in the fuse box under the dash on drivers side kick panel. If fuse is good try replacing the horn itself, it might be bad due to the age of the car. They are located behind the front bumper on the left and right side.

SOURCE: occasionally stalls and won't start

sounds like the main relay very common for these cars and much cheaper located under the dash distributor is another common problem but when they go out it makes a noise which you can hear coming from it while it is running.

SOURCE: 1990 HONDA ACCORD DISTRIBUTOR LEAKING OIL INTERNALLY

Lease check and make sure that you replace with the right seal, that alone should have taken care of this problem. However if the valve cover gasket is loose or bad it will cause oil to leak around distributor are but NOT into distributor. This seal can be easily replaced by loosing 4 10mm bolts on top of valve cover. Contact if you need more help Good luck and thanks for using FIX YA

SOURCE: I am driving down the road and for no reason the engine stalls

Hi BigJoe,

Have you had any issues with your keys/ignition?

I have a Cherokee and a Wrangler. The Cherokee's ignition switch started getting flaky a while back. Sort of doing what you describe.

On mine, engine would die, dash lights out, like the ignition was turned off.

I'd give the tilt a bang and everything was back to normal. I got a replacement at a junk yard for $5.00.

The key symptom is, do the dash lights go out when the engine dies?

If not, disregard.

Mike

I would check the crank sensor located on the bell housing. This senses that the engine is turning and allows a spark to be produced. No sensor no spark.

Y does my 1990 honda accord crank but not start when i stall twe times

probably ignition distributor , very common on this.
I'm saying distributor because it's all in one unit , coil ,hall sensor , igniter etc.
Cheaper and more effective to repl. distributor then parts in it. Ck if you have spark , if not - 99% it's distributor.

Car turns over great getting fuel and spark but wont start

Spark without fuel = just spark. :) Are you getting fuel movement? You could have a bad/clogged fuel filter, bad fuel pump - could be a few things. Check to make sure you're getting fuel.

No fuel no spark 1990 honda accord

other than the timing belt being broken, it sounds like the crank sensor in the distributor. get a used distributor. but first pop cap off and see if it is turning with engine.
