Question about 2000 Cadillac Escalade

2000 Escalade blown headgasket?? Ok well here it goes..... I have an Escalade 5.7 that the oil looked like chocolate milk and was over heating my friend who also fixes my cars was supposed to do the HG well I bought all the necessary gaskets head bolts and coolant couple weeks later he calls me to say its done but when I go over there the truck heats up right away and the radiator won't fill up I look at the dipstick its reading way high on the dipstick ( I changed the oil before we started it ) it appears everything we put in goes right to the oil pan well needless to say the more coolant we put in the worse it ran. I looked at the engine and have a feeling he may not have done the HG. It just looked untouched I didn't see any gaskets seal or anything ! He says its a cracked block could he be right or should I have another mechanic look at it ??? Thx for reading this extremely long question any help would be appreciated

Before replacing head gasket put a pressure test on the coolant system and look for a leak around the intake manifold gaskets. These gaskets are prone for leaking and allowing coolant into the oil.

Okay, it sounds like you may have also seen white smoke from the exhaust.
Based on your description, it doesn't sounds like it was repaired properly, or there could also be a crack in the block.
Usually, when the engine generates enough heat and pressure to blow out a head gasket, it tends to warp the heads, and sometimes cause a crack in the block or manifold (but not as likely in your Escalade as in import cars). This means that changing a blown head gasket has to include checking the heads to make sure they don't need any machining to take care of any slight warping that occurred, so they seal properly against the new gasket and block. Without doing that, the head gasket is just going to blow out again when under pressure around any potential gaps, no matter how slight.
From everything you explained (and thank you for that!), it doesn't sounds like a proper "repair" was done, and it needs the eyes of a trained and properly qualified mechanic. I just hope he didn't do more harm to your vehicle.

Oil in radiator? 1999 festiva auto

Sounds like you may have a blown head gasket. Did your motor recently get hot or over heat? Those symptoms point to a blown head gasket. Your engine oil is getting into the coolant and coolant is most likely getting into your oil. Kinda looks like chocolate milk?

Why does the engine have water in 5 cylinders

I think you may have a cracked block, which could be very serious. It also could be your water jacket. Good luck

Coolant looks like chocolate milk, burning smell

You may have a blown head gasket allowing coolant to contaminate the oil. This an expensive fix (likely $1500 +) as you will likely need to replace one or both head gaskets.

White smoke and car wont go over 30mph

Sounds like a blown head gasket. check the oil if it looks like chocolate milk you defiantly have blown gasket. The white smoke is because antifreeze is getting into the oil.

look at the spark plugs an see if they look like the have chocolate milk on them. You may have a head gasket going out. White smoke is usually burning coolant. Also you can look at the uderside of the oil cap. a little chocolate milk look is ok, that's pretty normal for a cold climate a lot is not a good sign.
