These s10 s have problems with the heater core plugging up, you said you cleaned the core, you used a water hose to flush the core at the core and flushed going both ways a few times, the cooling system even with a bad thermostant will put out heat it would just take a while so your saying theres no heat at all so that eliminates the thermostat, make sure the system is bleed of all air and try runniong the eng with heater hose to core removed and see if coolant flows out of the hose. this is to make sure the pipe is clear to allow coolant flow. also check and see if both hoses at core are hot, if one is hot and the other cool then the core may be plugged.if both hoses are at the same temp then you may have a blend door problem. i have seen the vacuum line that controls some of these that still use vacuum to control blend door instead of actuator have a broken vacuum hose at the engine at intake area. if the vacuum hose is off or broken then cool air is all you will get. check around the intake, theres a vacuum line that runs to the firewall on the pass/side and goes inside, make sure that line is connected and has vacuum. good day

If you are certain there is no air in the coolant system, then there is a chance that the blend door motor is not working or the heater control assembly is bad. since you have replaced your own heater core you probably noticed the the doors inside the heater core housing. One of those doors is controlled by the "hot/cold" knob. The motor on that door could bad.

Stacey
sounds like your blower motor is OK so either the hot water is not getting through the heater core, or the air is not being routed across the heater core. If the hoses or core are blocked, that would do it or if an air door is not allowing the air to the core.

Hopefully it won't come to core removal, but this video should illustrate what is going on. There are also videos for unplugging the core. good luck

air in the system .before doing all that .you should have put a dadiator flush in the expansion bottle .then run it for about 20 miles then drain it.you do this to clean out the radiator core of dirt and rust.and it cleans the heater core .then bleed the air out by turning your heater of full .run the engine till water starts to get hot .then refit the cap.

You need to check your coolant level first. If it is low you have a coolant leak. No hot coolant=No heat
