Question about 1987 Ford Bronco
I bought a 87 bronco with a newer C6 transmission with an electric overdrive what would i need to do to hook that up> is it just an on off tago switch or do i need to buy a brain to hook that up

you could but the color of the wires might not be the same and it would take forever to figure out how if youve never done it before of know the wiring diagram or how to read one. and if the two trucks have push button 4x4 the switches might be the same

My ATSG manual says to tighten the adjusting screw in to 10ft-lbs, then back it out exactly 2 turns. Holding the screw, tighten the lock nut to 35-45ft-lbs. The intermediate band is set the same way.

Sounds like a gear lockup, two choices take transmission out and find someone to rebuild it or would have to go to salvage yard and find another one. a new rebuild is approx 1,300.00 or salvage yard is approx 300.00..
