It sounds like the battery is dead most likely due to a defective charging system. Have the battery tested and the charging system load tested for proper output which is 13.8-14.8 volts DC.

SOURCE: 1996 Grand Am stuck in park

Will not come out of park...dose the shifter move but still in park? If so, sounds like your gear selector cable. As for the not starting and just died, not sure.....will need more info.

SOURCE: car wont start

Your alternator is dead. You can jump your battery for just long enough to get it in neutral for a tow or just to get your key out of the ignition.

SOURCE: Key stuck in ignition,

try putting the vehicle in park and with the use of a small file run it up along side the key and pull the remaining key out

otherwise they sell a file torch-tip cleaning tool with various sized files and brushes these will help you a little better rather than replacing the ignition cylinder

but leave it in the park position while doing this

I have a 2005 Trailblazer that dies out when you come to a stop. It starts back up with no problem

The alternator wouldn't have anything to do with either of the problems your having ! The key getting stuck in the ignition could be a problem developing with the lock cylinder . Can you turn the key to the off position an then it won't come out ? Or it won't turn to the off position an then not come out ? There are safety devices in place that won't let the key come out if not in gear an foot on the brake pedal etc... electronic an they do fail . Electronic Park Lock (EPL)/Ignition Lock Cylinder Control Actuator:Linear Shift Assembly: If the vehicle is equipped with a column mounted gear shift, it has a linear shift assembly on the steering column. The linear shift assembly has a cable that runs from the linear shift assembly to the ignition lock cylinder case. The purpose of this cable is to prevent the ignition key from being turned to the OFF position when the transmission is in gear and the vehicle may still be moving. The linear shift assembly cable contains a pin that is spring loaded to mechanically prevent the ignition key cylinder from being turned to the lock position when the vehicle transmission is not in the PARK position. If vehicle power is lost, and/or the transmission is not in the PARK position the operator will not be able to turn the ignition key to the lock position and will not be able to remove the ignition key from the column.

Now for the stall at stops , Your vehicle has Throttle Actuator Control (TAC) System ,electronic throttle control or drive by wire ! It is electronical controlled .
There are sensors in the gas pedal an on the throttle body ,they are connected to the PCM/ECM - engine computer with wiring ! There is a DC electric motor on the throttle body , this is what opens the throttle plate . Throttle plates do become dirty with varnish an stuff that can cause idle problems ! There are videos on youtube showing how to clean a throttle plate . How to Clean Throttle Body 2007 Chevy Trailblazer

My key is stuck in the ignition with the car on and it wont allow me to turn it off. What do i do?

Make sure that the car is in park completely. Trying moving back to one of the other gears and then back to park. Most common cause of this problem is the interlock not engaging but you should be able to get it assuming nothing internally is broken completely.

My key is stuck in the ignition. The car is in park, but the ignition did not completely return to the off position and the key will not release.

Thats a chevy for ya ! Theres something weird between the shifter and the ignition. Turn the key as far as you can off, then put it in nuetrel. Start the car and it if starts, put it in park and turn the key off, if it is still stuck, keep trying .

Have a 90 chevy blazer wipers first getting stuck now completly not working

Sounds like park/neutral switch in motor was going bad, thats why it stuck. Then motor finally died completely. Check for power & ground to motor first, with ignition on & wiper switch on. If power & ground to motor, time to replace wiper motor.
