Disconnecting the negative cable battery few minutes; is the check light come on again, you will need scanned your PCM to know exactly what fault code is stored there in order to solve it. Autozone or Autoshops with OBD scanner reader sometimes make this job for free, note this code number and send us for additional details or tips to solve.
Hope this helps; also keep in mind that your feedback is important and I`ll appreciate your time and consideration if you leave some testimonial comment about this answer.

Have you scanned for codes?
Have you repaired whatever caused the light to come on?
If you have not than clearing the codes to turn the light of will only result in the light coming back on as soon as the fault is detected by the computer.

the diagram is located in the engine compartment under the hood.
Clean off the surfaces and it is one of the stickers there.

cam shaft timing marks on back of cams ,two slots ,use a flat piece of metal to align .remove no1 spark plug and drop long thin screwdriver down it to bring piston just below tdc, then align cams so both cams are on the rock (valves closed) with knob on back cam aligning with pick up sensor left side between lobes.then bring piston up to tdc and fit belt.turn engine over twice with socket on bottom pulley to make sure no valves clear pistons.Remember to remove flat edge from back of cams i didnt last time and bent my home made tool

Hello pamgolmon: My name is Roger and i will answer your question. The 2-0 dual cam engine is a interference engine. This means if the engine jumps time at the timing belt. It will bend the valves. As for the timing marks on the camshafts. Their are no marks to be located. To set the timing marks on this engine requires special tools. This makes it expensive for not only the do it yourself mechanic but also the repair shops also. If the valves were bent you must pull the head for the repairs also.
I know this is not the answer you were hoping for but it is the only answer to give. Please rate the quality of the answer as this way we know your answer was correct. Please just ask if you need further help. Thank You for using Fix Ya. Roger

go to www.gates.com on the lower right hand side under popular topics, click on timing belts, then on the left hand side click Parts Locator and Interchange, enter your cars info and the first page that comes up will show you a camera icon for a pic of how your belt is routed. The tensioner pulley is the one mounted on a silver arm, usually at the top. Hope this helps let me know.
