SOURCE: oil filter in civic 97

If you go to a reputable motor factor,
you can only be sold the correct filter for the civic.
As there are soo many variables in engine type, it's almost impossible to tell, oil volume, or which type filter.
However, I will say, be sure that you don't mix semi-synthetic oil, and mineral oil.
Oil changes should be undertaken every 30,000 miles, (unless under extra work load, (in which case, slightly more regularly))

Otherwise, 10/40 or 15/40 grade oil, is perfectly fine.
The trick to not overfilling the oil, is simply just to take your time, clean the dip stick and retry, until you have the correct reading.

Please don't forget to rate:)

SOURCE: where is the the wiper motor on a 99 honda civic

Back of engine bay and base of the windsreen you will see some plasic covers known as scuttle panels, you may have to remove the wiper arms first (10mm M6 nut under the Black circle cap on each arm)
The motor will be the size of a coke can with Silver linkage bars going to it

SOURCE: need to know how to line the timing marks on the

there is a timing mark on the timing cover that lines up with the mark on the crank pulley (i believe the mark is above the white dot on the crank) then on the 2 gears up top, there are lines that should line up horizontally with the top of the timing cover.

Can you fix a ignition that has locked in a 2005 Honda Civic 2 door coupe for cheaper than 500 hundred dollars?

Hello Renee,

The ignition switch for the civic is expensive. Auto Zone shows a new replacement ignition switch for a 2005 Honda Civic DX 1.7L MFI SOHC 4cyl listed at 455.99. This part also fits 21 other 1.7L MFI SOHC 4cyl Civic Models.

If you can find a low mileage Civic at the wreaking yard with the same switch as your model, that would save you money, but of course if one key is currently used for the door and ignition switch... you would have two keys after swapping out the switch. The old one for the door lock and the new (used) one for the ignition.

1999 honda civic si 1.6 liter sohc engine knocking

Usually no. You can try an additive like seafoam to see if that will clean it out but under normal circumstance, you will have to pull the motor to clean it out.
Also, you need to make sure you have the right bearing (They are usually marked with colored paint) someone could have used a larger bearing on that con rod before and you may not have know and installed the wrong size. Only way to tell for sure is to use plastigauge.
