There is only one wire to the oil pressure switch, Gray with yellow stripe. it is an input to the PCM powertrain control module ! The PCM then sends signal to the instrument cluster via serial data bus communications Serial Data Bus

2005-low oil pressurer explore


I'm assuming you have a low oil pressure indicator on the dash. Have you checked the oil level? If it is at correct level, it is possible the oil pressure sender/switch isn't reading the pressure properly. Also it is possible that bearings in the engine are worn out, or that the oil pump isn't working properly. If you don't have a pressure gauge to screw into the engine where the switch is, I would start by replacing the oil pressure switch.

My oil pressure gauge in my 2008 dodge ram with 5.7 hemi just drops to no pressure than comes back up and drops right away again. oil is full


This could just be an Oil Pressure sensor has become faulty, Simply replacing the oil pressure sensor and it will solve the problem.

Oil pressure fluctuating


The sensor could be failing to read the lower pressure when the engine RPM slows down. Or the pump could be failing. I would replace the sensor and see if that doesn't correct the problem
