Stalling problem when coming to a stop

I have a 2000 dodge ram with only 80000 miles. I have been having problems with it stalling everytime I come to a stop. It always starts right back up but sometimes while sitting at a stop light I will have to restart it a few times before traffic starts to move. It runs perfectly fine while I'm driving till I come to a stop. Also recently my speedometer started acting up. It don't start working till I get to about 25 - 30 mph. I know its got to be something simple but its driving me nuts. HELP!

The battery runs down if you leave the battery connected for a few days also while driving down the highway at a sustained speed [not acclerating] the speedometer will surge also at the same time the emergency brake light will come on [not the abs light] only way it will stop is pull over and let it sit for a few minutes restart go down hightway for a few miles and it starts all over again I have driven it for over 700 miles at a time like this and it does not effect the performance of van.

Do you know what your AIS motor (automatic idle speed) is on your throttle body.Usually held on with torx screws 2 or 3. Thses are pretty well known for gumming up & sticking. It adjusts your idle automatically under load etc. If your take it off, spray it with throttle body cleaner & be sure to spray some in the port (hole it came out of) before you re-assemble it. Sometimes this will cure it or at least improve it enough that you know your in the right area, if replacement part needed.

Check that the calipers can slide freely on the mounting pins. Check brake pads for wear. AS the front and left front brakes run different circuits for fluid ,check for problems in the master cylinder.

2000 dodge ram 5.9 is cutting off at stops

clean the idle air control vavle with spray carb cleaner. clean the throttle plate and bore as well.

The IAC controls your idle speed and may be sticky due to deposits. The cleaning should take care of the stalling problem.

po335 and 725 bad crank sensor and this is also reason for stalling.po 420 catalyst has lost efficiency....needs new catalytic converter ...covered under 8year 80000 mile emmisions warranty.

2006 Dodge Charge 3.5 80000 miles, Police cruisr. Stalls when cold. Will run for awhile then stalls again. If it runs long enough to warm up it quits stalling. Any ideas?

well the 1st thing u need to do here is have the electronic engine control system tested for fault codes, this is the very 1st thing we do in the shop for any problem like this, the idle and all other functions are monitored and controlled by a powertrain control computer.
