Question about 2000 GMC Jimmy
Put a 140 amp alt. on to help keep up with my 3200 watt stereo amp.I have to jump start , but as soon as the cables are removed it dies out. with cables hooked up my gauge says 7.3 to 7.8 amps and if I try to give it gas it runs fine but amps dont change and alls its doing is killing my battery. Company I got it from is giving me a $50.00 rebate towards new battery.what wires should I check for burnt fuselinks or burnt wires?
I dont know if this will help but my sister had 2001 envoy and had similer problem we found wiring harness next to exaust was burnt and stuck to it. we pulled it off and blacktaped wires. this fixed her car. good luck
