Question about 2003 Jeep Grand Cherokee

Turn Signals work about 5% of the time.
Hazard lights are fine... all fuses and all other components work fine... only the turn signals.
its probably the small copper contacts in the plastic unit that encompasses the steering column this can be purchased and refitted quite easily by removing the steering wheel,removing the securing screws unplugging the electrical loom plug and slipping over the steering column. replace new unit in reverse . probably caused by over-exadurated movement of the signalling lever
