Question about 2000 Subaru Outback
I haad the problem with the rear hatch not opening. You asked if someone pushed down when I tried to open it. My wife and I tried it previously with no luck, After reading your post I asked our 240 pound neighbor to push on it and it worked. I oiled everywhere I could and it seems to be working now. Any idea on what caused it?
The cause could be bend hock, Miss-alignment of the catch. most of time it is cause by some foreign bject in the track or the hingger area.
